Tasting Notes
Rye Whisky is known for its spicy intensity. Our Rye Single Malt captures this essence, balanced by the smoothness of the malt and the noble touch of oak.
Process and Maturation
Malt: Exclusive use of malted rye, which gives Rye its distinctive dry, spicy, and rich profile.
Water: Pure spring water from Caldas de Penacova. This mountain water provides the ideal purity and mineral character for the final blend.
Minimum aging: 3 years in American oak barrels and ex-bourbon barrels. This combination imparts complexity, vanilla notes, and an intense color.
Color
Deep, golden amber.
Smell (Aroma)
The aroma presents vibrant notes of black pepper and nutmeg, which are then softened by sweet nuances of ripe pear and cherry. Followed by touches of vanilla, caramel and an aroma of toasted wood, a result of the Ex-Bourbon.
Taste (Flavor)
On the palate, it is full-bodied, unctuous, and powerful. The body is smooth and complex, dominated by rich caramel and vanilla flavors, followed by an unexpected touch of fresh herbs.
End
The finish is long, warm, and lingering. It ends with a spicy warmth of pepper and a subtle whisper of toasted oak.
