Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Black Wolf - Destilaria Portuguesa website (www.theblackwolfdistillery.com). These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the purchase of products and experiences from our distillery, operated by Instantes Boémios Unipessoal Lda.

1. Legal Drinking Age 

By browsing and purchasing from this site, the user confirms they are at least 18 years of age, the legal minimum age for the consumption and purchase of alcohol in Portugal. We reserve the right to request proof of identity upon delivery or collection.

2. Payment Methods

  • Online Purchases (Shipping): We accept Visa, American Express, and MasterCard through the Stripe platform. All transactions are encrypted for your security.

  • Group Experiences: Booking private experiences (e.g., Spirits & Celebration) requires a 30% deposit to guarantee the date. The remaining 70% must be settled at the distillery on the day of the event.

3. Shipping Costs

  • Mainland Portugal: €6 (VAT included). Shipping is free for orders of €70 or more.

  • Portuguese Islands (Azores and Madeira): Costs vary based on weight and shipping method. Shipping is free for orders ≥ €200. Please contact us via email for an exact quote.

  • International: Costs vary based on weight and destination. To consult the exact shipping value for your address, please contact us at: geral@theblackwolfdistillery.com.

4. Dispatch and Delivery

  • Dispatch: Orders are shipped within a maximum of 4 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Delivery Times: Mainland Portugal (1 to 4 business days); Islands (variable); Europe (8 to 12 business days).

  • Important: Customers must inspect the goods upon receipt. In case of visible damage to the packaging, a formal reservation must be noted on the carrier's delivery note.

5. Cancellations and Right of Withdrawal

  • Cancellation before shipping: Full refund if requested within 1 hour of payment. After this period, if the order has already been processed, the customer incurs a €6 administrative and logistics fee.

  • Right of Withdrawal: Under Portuguese law, consumers have 14 days to return the product without justification, provided the bottle seal is intact and the product is in its original condition.

  • Return Costs: In case of withdrawal, return shipping costs and the initial shipping fee are borne by the customer.

6. Experiences and Bookings

  • Individuals: 100% payment upon booking. Full refund available up to 7 days before the event (minus a €2.50 administrative fee).

  • Groups (+8 people): The 30% deposit guarantees the exclusive date. This amount is non-refundable for cancellations made with less than 7 days' notice. For celebration groups (Bachelor/Bachelorette), the bride or groom is our guest of honour (free of charge).

7. Damages, Breakages, and Claims 

Instantes Boémios Unipessoal Lda ensures maximum care in packaging to prevent breakages.

  • Limitation of Liability: We are not responsible for damages, breakages, or losses caused directly by carriers after the goods leave our facilities.

  • Customer Support: In the event of an incident, we will assist the customer in filing a claim with the carrier, provided the procedure in point 4 (noting reservations on the delivery note) has been followed.

  • Production Errors: Only internal packaging errors or proven manufacturing defects are the direct responsibility of the company.

8. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): Coimbra District Consumer Conflict Arbitration Centre (CACCDC).

  • Legal Jurisdiction: For the resolution of all disputes arising from this contract, the District Court of Coimbrashall have exclusive jurisdiction.
